The Big Bag is designed for projects up to worsted weight, as well as heavier or larger sweaters! This bag is made from an obi I purchased while in Kyoto in March 2016. The subtle vividness of this obi is what really caught my eye. It has a navy from with metallic gold top stitching, and the back is a heavy-duty cotton twill.

This bag is fully-lined and there are no raw edges to unravel into your project. It has also been interfaced so that it is sturdy during use, and you can use all my wedge bags as a yarn basket by folding down the zipper edge. This bag is designed to hold about 6 100g skeins of worsted weight yarn and your project at the same time. I did fit put to 800g of worsted weight yarn, but it was a tight fit.

The Authentic Obi bags are particularly unique, as they use second-hand obi from Japan! Obi are the gorgeous belts used to decorate women's kimono. In all of my shopping for obi, I have never seen two alike. They are also all slightly different - even from the same obi, so you will have a truly unique piece with any of the bags.

These are 100% sewn by me in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. There is a tab so that it's an easy open and close bag!

This will ship within 1-3 business days of your order.

Due to the handmade nature of these bags, your purchased bag may have a different zipper colour or pattern placement.
